How does hypnotherapy for depression work?

The truth is that depression can affect anyone during any point in his or her life.
Every person can relate to feeling sad and unhappy at times. However, depression involves much more severe negative emotions, like hopelessness, helplessness and anxiety that will not go away. Half of all people will only experience depression once. The other half of people will experience multiple reoccurrences of depression over time.

When depressed, a person will imagine the worst outcome in any situation they are faced with. The force of these negative mental images in the conscious and subconscious mind overwhelms and usually leads to inaction. This is often referred to as “catastrophizing”.
